Crisis Response Specialist


REPORTS TO:          Program Director, 2-1-1 Crisis/Hotline & Information Center

 

CLASSIFICATION:   Full-time, non-exempt

 

QUALIFICATIONS:
          ·  Minimum associate’s degree

·  Ability with computers and electronic equipment

·  Ability to work independently

·  Ability to work effectively with others

·  Successful completion of 2-1-1 Crisis/Hotline and Information Center Training

·  Ability to communicate well both verbally and in writing

          BENEFITS:

          WAGES:     
                  
This position falls into Pay Band 5; minimum wage $7.00 per hour; maximum wage $11.06 per hour; control point $8.65 per hour.

 

          JOB SUMMARY:

              Under the guidance of the Program Director, utilizes the Switzer Crisis Intervention model to respond to hotline callers and providers 
         with information and referral, crisis management and individualized call management services.

 

          RESPONSIBILITIES:
                   1. Utilize the Switzer Crisis Intervention Model to provide crisis management to callers. 
                   2. Utilize authorized resources to provide information and referral to callers.
                   3. Act as liaison between callers and contracting agencies for individualized call management services.
                   4. Follow agency and program policies, protocols, and procedures.
                   5. Process and maintain all appropriate records and reports.
                   6. Attend staff meetings and continuous training programs.
                   7. Foster atmosphere of cooperation and positive team work within and outside of agency.
                   8. Provide shift coverage on holidays and vacations.
                   9. Perform tasks as assigned by the Program Director and/or Executive Director that are within the scope of Pathways of Licking County.
