We provide programs to meet the needs of parents and their children through parenting classes and individualized parenting programs brought to your home.

     What does Capable Parents offer?

  • Parents as Teachers 
          A parent education and family support program serving families throughout pregnancy
          until their child enters kindergarten.

  • Parenting Young Children
          Workshop geared toward learning how to understand your child's behavior, build self-esteem,
          set limits, use positive discipline and manage your stress.

  • Individualized Home Visits
          Provided for parents who are unable to attend classes. We will come to your home and 
          assist with your and your child's needs and concerns.

  • Infant/Toddler Workshops
          Workshops with a focus on development, attachment, discipline, etc.

  • Parenting Children with FAS/ARND 
          Designed to help parents deal with the stresses of parenting a child with Fetal Alcohol
          Syndrome and Alcohol Related Neurodevelopment Disorder and helping you help your child 
          reach his/her potential. 
  • Nurturing Program for Families in Substance Abuse Treatment and Recovery
          Parents focus on feelings, self-esteem, making connections through communication,
          problem solving, and what children teach us. 
  • The Incredible Years
          
    Focuses on helping you build relationships with your child, set limits, deal with and prevent
          troublesome behavior and coping with behavioral problems of children 3-8 years.
