Crisis/Hotline & Information Center...
your path to crisis management and
community information.

       Our Mission:

The mission of the Crisis/Hotline and Information Center is to promote growth and self-reliance
by providing quality 24/7 short-term crisis intervention, crisis management and information
and referral services as part of an integrated, comprehensive system of health, mental health,
and other human service providers in Licking and Knox counties.

      For crisis and information:

    • For crisis call 740-345-HELP or (800) 544-1601
    • For information and referral call 2-1-1
    • Speech and hearing impaired persons call the Ohio Relay Service at (800) 750-0750

        Crisis/Hotline:

    • Crisis Response Specialists are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
    • The Crisis/Hotline and Information Center utilizes a best practice model for crisis intervention
that is based on the work of David Switzer. The model closely follows crisis theory and the
      logical progression of problem solving.

        Information and Referral:

    • The Crisis/Hotline and Information Center utilizes a specialized information and referral database.
Currently, the database holds information on over 700 agencies and 1300 programs that serve
residents of Licking and Knox counties.

       Resource Directory:

    • The information in the database is used to publish a bi-annual Resource Directory. Pathways has the capacity to provide specialized directories when needed.

        Recovery Line:

    • The Recovery Line is a warm line staffed by Crisis Response Specialists that offers support and
coaching for people who are recovering from a variety of mental health issues. The Recovery Line works in conjunction with mental health professionals to support the recovery plans that have been negotiated with callers.
